MCS Products Technical Engineer - UK

The Role
We are looking to employ a Technical Support / Software installation Engineer for the MCS range of products to work as part of the EDGECAM UK Service and Support Team.
The Applicant
Our Support Team deliver excellent customer service levels by providing quality technical support whilst promoting good practice in relation to technical issues using relevant industry knowledge. You will be committed to providing operational support to customers via our Helpdesk environment and Support Portal using good communication, analytical skills, initiative and flexibility to provide acceptable resolutions to customer support issues. You will be required to install the MCS suite of products . Therefore you must be willing to travel extensively throughout the UK.
The Requirements
A background in manufacturing in the metal working industry is desirable , we welcome applications from engineers with strong experience working with a variety of Machine tool controls in terms of setting up data communications , RS 232 or Ethernet based complete with an understanding of NC code formats. Applicants should have good IT / Networking experience , combined with a “can do will do” attitude, and be reliable. Applications with a recognised IT qualification and or Electrical / electronic installation experience in terms of Machine tools combined with excellent knowledge or experience of serial interface communications are required, a valid full driving licence and PC skill-sets are essential.
